An international forum dedicated to Medieval Art, held on September 18-21 at Bern University (Switzerland), hosted two sessions concerning Georgia. The sessions were organized by Fribourg University as a continuation of the season school project “Tao-Klarjeti, History and Heritage, Movable and Immovable Monuments”.
Meetings dedicated to Georgia “Georgia as a Bridge between Cultures: Dynamics of Artistic Exchange” were led by Doctors of Fribourg University Manuela Studer and Tomas Kaffenberger, while on behalf of the George Chubinashvili Centre lecturers were presented by Nino Chichinadze, Ekaterine Gedevanishvili, Irine Giviashvili, Natalia Chitishvili, Irma Mamasakhlisi and Tamar Dadiani. The sessions dedicated to Georgia became an object of great interest among Western scientists; the halls were full of listeners; presentations were followed by long-lasting debates.
